The most underrated suburb on this guide — small, established, and consistently high-rated in Friendswood ISD, with almost none of the relocation-marketing attention Katy or The Woodlands gets. It’s largely built out, so new construction is limited, but that trades off against a settled, mature-tree feel that’s hard to find in Houston’s faster-growing suburbs. Families comparing Friendswood often also look at Pearland for a similar established, family-oriented profile with more new-construction inventory, or Webster for a smaller, more central Clear Lake-area alternative.
