Cypress offers everything from resort-style lake living to golf-course neighborhoods to newer master-planned communities still under construction. Established favorites like Towne Lake (300-acre lake, island entertainment district), Fairfield, and Coles Crossing anchor the east side (77429); newer communities like Bridgeland, Cypress Creek Lakes, and Marvida are building out the west side (77433) alongside growing retail along 290 and the Grand Parkway. Most of Cypress is Cy-Fair ISD, though Bridgeland itself splits — Cy-Fair to the east, Waller ISD to the west — so verify school boundaries even within one community. Families comparing Cypress often also look at Katy for a similar master-planned commuter profile along the Grand Parkway, or Hockley further west for more land and newer, still-building communities at a lower price point.
