The newest construction corridor in west Houston — large lots, active builders, and a mix of acreage communities and new master-planned development. Cross Creek Ranch and Jordan Ranch anchor the newer master-planned side; Weston Lakes and Fulbrook on Fulshear Creek lean more acreage and established. All zoned to Lamar CISD. Beautiful and genuinely far — worth it if you’ve done the commute math into the city or the Energy Corridor. Families considering Fulshear often also look at Katy for a similar new-construction commuter profile, Richmond since the two overlap in parts of Fort Bend County, Simonton for even more space further out, or Rosenberg for a more affordable alternative along the same corridor.
