Conroe is one of North Houston’s fastest-growing new-construction markets, often drawing buyers who want The Woodlands‘ lake-and-trail lifestyle at a newer-construction price point. Three master-planned communities anchor the area, all zoned to Conroe ISD: Grand Central Park (five miles north of The Woodlands), Harper’s Preserve (gated, built around a 160-acre forest preserve near Highway 242), and Artavia (2,200+ acres, off I-45). Nearby Woodforest and The Woodlands Hills are popular with relocating families too, though technically addressed in Montgomery and Willis. Always verify school boundaries directly — Conroe ISD is large and still shifting as new sections build out.
